Ken Hung is a Partner of Vivien Chan & Co. where his practice areas include dispute resolution, intellectual property, regulatory compliance and employment.
He has extensive experience acting for multinational brands in formulating strategy to secure and enforce intellectual property rights in China and Hong Kong. He regularly assists foreign brands to go against squatters and paving the way of entering into the Chinese markets with the intellectual property rights properly secured and protected.
He also advises on regulatory compliance issues, from product labelling, trade descriptions, anti-trust and competition, data privacy, to employment related issues. He helps clients in compliance review, formulating and drafting policies and guidelines, responding to queries and representing them before enforcement authorities for compliance issues.
Ken obtained his double degree in business and law from the University of Hong Kong and admitted in Hong Kong in 2013. He also passed the Greater Bay Area Legal Professional Examination in China in 2022. The Greater Bay Area comprises 9 municipalities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing in Guangdong Province, which is key to China’s strategic planning and innovation-driven development. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
